Regarding Flexing

“The hyena may sharpen its fangs on the savanna, but that doesn’t mean it should step up to the lion.”

Liam

Here’s the story…

We were playing a board game, and my mom said something like, “Well, what I learned at university,” or something similar, suggesting she knew a thing because she did a thing. And, furthermore, because she knew this thing, she was entitled to tell my oldest son all about it.

Which wasn’t right, because she was very wrong in her assumption on all accounts.

My son, with aplomb and panache, responded with the above quote.

The table went silent, the boys and I laughed, and – if memory serves – my mom told us to go jump in a lake.
