Don’t Play Crimson Desert (You Cannot Afford It)

Holy crap, I am in trouble.

Ever since I installed Crimson Desert, I have been consumed by the world the game has invited me into. I spend hours – yes, real-life hours – just walking around and watching the imaginary world live around my character. It reminds me a great deal of Red Dead Redemption 2, where I spent the majority of my time just traveling around.

So what’s the problem?

I cannot afford this game. Oh, sure, financially it’s not an issue. What I cannot afford is the time sink. I tell myself, “I’ll just play for a bit,” and then POOF, four or more hours go by.

Let this be a word of warning to you: don’t play Crimson Desert!*

* Yes, absolutely play this game. It’s simply incredible.
